#sonnet1

I found an arrow

I held it in my hand trying hard to peruse

I never thought it would ever be my muse

It had a twisted steel head, vanes were coal black

like the words I can never take back

Its tip was poisoned with sorrow

I was lost

I shot that arrow without an aim

To know whom it hurt makes me an exemplar of shame

It went piercing, breaking, shattering a heart

I wish I never had shot it, never wanted a dart

I cannot afford the cost

Bewildered, blatant blunder did by I

Now sorry is replaced with a sigh
